A new program is being rolled out to St. Louis city residents and the president of the Board of Aldermen, Lewis Reed, is hoping you’ll get on board. It’s an online tool called Nextdoor, and it is similar to a social network for your physical neighborhood. The idea behind it is that when neighbors start talking, good things happen. Nextdoor makes it easy to communicate with your neighbors about the issues that matter most in your community. Share recommendations about local services, organize neighborhood events, report suspicious activities, or just get to know your neighbors! Your information is safe and secure and limited to your neighbors only – members must verify that they live in the neighborhood before they can join a Nextdoor website. Membership is free and easy!
