The city of St. Louis is holding its general election for Mayor on April 6, 2021. A primary is scheduled for March 2, 2021, when the City will begin to use the approval voting system to elect the offices of Mayor, Comptroller, President of the Board of Aldermen, and the Board of Aldermen. Instead of voting for only one candidate, voters have the option to vote for one or more candidates. The top two vote-getters in a race will advance to the general election. This new voting system was approved by voters in November 2020 with 68% of the vote. Andy Ruzicka wants to make sure you know what to expect when you head to the polls.
