St. Louis has hosted many immigrants and refugees over the past decades. The Immigrant and Refugee Women’s Program, was created to help some of our new citizens adjust to living in America. It’s all in an effort to increase the independence and reduce the isolation of immigrant and refugee women by teaching them basic English and practical living skills in the security of their own homes. Immigrant and Refugee Women’s Program Executive Director, Pat Joshu, and Program Coordinator, Sarah Paradoski, drop by the studio to talk to Sarah about their organization.
