Tichina has entertained audiences nationwide for nearly four decades as an actress, singer, dancer, and writer. From musicals to comedies to dramas, stage, and screen, Tichina put her unique stamp on characters that have become beloved around the world. She began her career on the daytime dramas “All My Children” and Ryan’s Hope.” But her big breakthrough role was as Crystal in 1986 with “The Little Shop of Horrors.” She went on to win numerous honors, including her first NAACP award, for her role of “Pam” on the hit TV comedy series “Martin.” From there she continued to hone her skills by appearing in a number of feature films, television movies, animated series, and guest starring roles. The Urban League of Metropolitan St Louis proudly honored Arnold with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022 at its annual Women in Leadership gala for all of her accomplishments.
