The Saint Louis Zoo debuts its new electric train named after Mary Meachum, an abolitionist who helped free slaves on the Underground Railroad. The director of the Saint Louis Zoo, Michael Macek, and former professor and historian Angela da Silva, spoke about Mary Meachum, the impact she had, and the importance of switching to newer, electric trains to help usher in the new transportation of the future.
