Type-one diabetes can be a challenging condition to manage at any age, but imagine being reliant on insulin injections at only eight years old. November is Diabetes Awareness Month, and STL TV LIVE host, Christia DeShields, chats with 8 year old insulin-dependent Mia Berg, her parents, Tony Berg and Kelly Berg, about their family journey and how it’s changed all of their lives forever. The Coordinator of School Walks for the JDRF, Ginger Eikhorn, also joins the conversation.
