Nicaragua is the second poorest nation in the western hemisphere. In an effort to address the human needs created by poverty in this region, Center for Development in Central America (CDCA), works with the elected leadership in Nicaragua to help the impoverished by implementing projects in community development, sustainable agriculture, health, appropriate technology and education. Efforts are directed at helping these communities become self-sufficient, sustainable, and democratic entities. Kathy Floerke, CDCA Project Administrator, and Pat Floerke, CDCA Project Social Worker, join Sarah to talk about the recent event, Justice in Motion: Responding to Changing Needs with Nicaragua’s Poor, at St. Louis University.
