Bridging the Gap: What next? :

In an effort to help settle tensions, and improve the quality of living for all residents in St. Louis, STL TV recently hosted a Town Hall forum, called Bridging the Gap: What next? The forum, moderated by STL TV’s Debbie Monterrey and Vern Fuller, intended to offer helpful and resourceful information for healing and moving forward in the wake of the outcry following the Michael Brown shooting. Some of the topics discussed centered around issues like building better relationships between the police and the community; opportunities for training and employment; our education systems – the dropout rate and its impact on the community; the role of the church as a change agent, and how communities can work together to reduce crime.
